Recently the Engineering Society organized a "get together party" for all engineering students and instructors on campus. Professor Abdullah Atalar, Provost and Professor Mehmet Baray, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering were among the four hundred people attending the event. The party was sponsored by Çilek Mobilya, and technical support was provided by Radio Bilkent.
Oğuzhan Yıldız (IE/III), the president of the Engineering Society, opened the party with an emotional speech about his reaction to hearing that he was accepted to Bilkent University. The party continued with a guitar solo by a member of the Music Club.
The Engineering Society will continue to organize such activities and they hope the enthusiastic participation of the students will continue.
