The Management and Economics Club has been hard at work assisting with the planning of the Career Fair. They have been meeting with the staff of the Career Development and Placement Center and have been involved with company invitations as well as volunteer recruitment and scheduling. On Monday, February 26 they conducted a meeting for approximately 50 volunteers explaining MEC and its history with the fair, the structure of the Career Fair and Career Days, and the specific responsibilities of the volunteers for the fair. Together with CDPC staff, MEC committee members scheduled all volunteers who were then contacted over the bayram and informed of their assigned task.

On Monday, March 12 there will be another meeting of volunteers to finalize the schedule. Beginning on Tuesday, March 13 volunteers will begin handing out flyers for the event. On March 16, the day of the fair, volunteers will be assisting in many details. If you have volunteered and have not heard from a MEC representative, be sure to attend the volunteer meeting (5:30 p.m., FEASS, room A-125), or contact a MEC representative (Bahadır at ext. 7307 or Haluk at ext.4570). The MEC committee members wish to emphasize the importance of students taking an active role in making this event successful.
