Feed Your Soul
If you have not visited the Music Room of the Main Library, you might want to do so. As the sign leading to this special section of the library indicates, "Music is food for the soul".

The Music Room houses about 4000 CDs and cassettes which can be borrowed for two weeks by music faculty and students, or one week by all other Bilkent students, faculty and staff. The largest portion of the collection is classical music, but jazz, Turkish folk, and popular music are also available. In addition to borrowing the music, the CDs and cassettes can be played in one of the 17 listening rooms at the Music Room.

For those who take a more active interest in music, the library holds 15,000 musical scores from a variety of composers, with an additional 400 scores available in braille. Members of the Faculty of Music may borrow, while others may photocopy them. About 400 complete orchestral works are on hand for Bilkent Orchestra.

Books about music in general can be found in the Main Library collection. For more information about the Music Room send e-mail to musiclibrary@bilkent.edu.tr or call ext.2669. Don’t forget to feed your soul!
