Student Receives GLOBE Internship
Kamil Tavas (IR/III) has been accepted to participate in a summer unpaid internship at GLOBE European Union. This internship provides Kamil with an opportunity to develop a project of his choice within the framework of projects in which GLOBE is currently involved.

GLOBE (Global Legislators Organisation for a Balanced Environment) is a world-wide organization of environmental parliamentarians who are committed to "doing everything possible within their mandates to improve the local environment in the field of legislation." Since its establishment in 1989, GLOBE members have been at the forefront in European and international environmental debate.

Kamil is leaning toward a project involving international trade. As part of the internship, he will be visiting the Parliament of the European Union in Brussels to learn more about the EU and GLOBE’s involvement in it.

This will be a complement to his previous experience representing Bilkent as a member of Model United Nations.
