Health Center Holds Vaccination Campaign
The Bilkent University Health Center is now conducting a campaign to fight Hepatitis A with vaccinations. Hepatitis A, or Sarılık, as it is commonly known in Turkey, is a contagious viral disease affecting the liver. The symptoms of Hepatitis A are flu-like. The illness generally continues for three to six weeks and is cured by itself. The best protection against Hepatitis A is to practice good hygiene.

The Hepatitis A vaccine does not contain a live virus and will not cause illness itself. It is recommended that adults have a blood test before the vaccination. The vaccine is now available at both Bilkent University Health Centers for
24,000,000 TL.
