Children Compete for Tree Planting
Last week about 700 children from various schools in Ankara, including Yahyalar, Pakize Erdoğdu, BUPS, and ÖBL İlköğretim Okulları, vied for the opportunity to plant a tree on the hillside near the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. Children were running down the hills holding tightly to their seedlings looking for a hole in which to plant them.

The Ağaç Bayramı event, organized by Çevre Kulübü and supported by the Environmental Planning and Protection Unit and TEMA, brought the university community together for the planting of 1000 trees to emphasize the importance of improving our environment.
