High-school students from Robert College will stage Deli İbrahim at BUPS Concert Hall on Saturday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. Deli İbrahim, a Turkish classic written by A. Turan Oflazoğlu, and directed by E. Hakan Rami, was performed by Robert College students at various high schools including Adapazarı-Hacı Zehra Akkoç Lisesi, Değirmendere- Hacı Halit Erkut Lisesi, Gölcük-Barbaros Hayrettin Lisesi, Özel Kocaeli Koleji, and Galatasaray Lisesi. At the end of May, the students will also present their play in İstanbul at Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Theatre Hall. The play received much attention and appreciation by its audience each time it was performed. Turan Oflazoğlu has seen his play many times as a guest of honor, and commented that the performance by the Robert College students is quite special and very different from other “Deli İbrahim” performances. Everyone is invited to this "special" performance. The play is in Turkish and free of charge. However, space is limited, please make a reservation early.
