New Sports Hall Ready for Summer

Bilkent University students and personnel will soon be able to enjoy the new 8000 square meters sports complex which will open this summer. The new sports hall is located behind dormitories 77 and 78 near the grass football field on the Main Campus. It is a first class facility that includes two basketball/voleyball courts, two aerobic/step and program studios, three squash courts, a running/walking track, a large fitness/conditioning center, men's and women's locker rooms, and a cafeteria. To assure safety and comfort, the exercise studio floors, basketball court floors, and squash court floors are constructed of maple wood materials imported from the United States and installed by the Robins Company of the United States. The exercise and strength training equipment is from Life Fitness and Paramount, both US companies. To assure the comfort of users, the facility is fully air conditioned.
Note: Starting September 2001, all Bilkent students and personnel will be required to show the new I.D. Cards (Smart Cards) to use the sports facilities.
