Uyarca is on Stage
|
Students of Performing Arts will be presenting a new play, Uyarca, written by German playwright, F. Dürrenmatt, on May 16 and 18 at FMPA Theater Hall, at 8 p.m.
The play is about a highly qualified and successful scientist who discovers a virus that is beneficial to humans. Despite his discovery, he becomes impoverished, and after a while, finds himself living on streets. When he is finally offered a job, he cannot refuse it even though his responsibility is to dispose of the bodies of people his employers have killed. When one day he is faced with disposing of the body of the woman he loves, he becomes insane.
The play is directed by Akif Yeşilkaya, Department of Performing Arts, working under Mr. Cüneyt Gökçer, the General Arts Director of the play and Chair of Department of Performing Arts. For ticket information and reservations, call ext. 1775.
