The Bilkent University Preparatory School and the Bilkent International School are now fully accredited by the European Council of International Schools (ECIS, London) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC, Boston). They are already recognized by the Turkish Ministry of Education, the International Baccalaureate (IB, Geneva) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE, Cambridge, UK).
    The ECIS/NEASC accreditation process has taken a number of years of work, involving the time and input of the entire school community: teachers, parents, students, parents’ council, school board, and school administration. The Chair of the accreditation process was Mr. Michael Callan, BUPS/BIS Associate Director, Grades 6-8.
    The certification awards, plaques and certificate were presented to Mr. Jim DiSebastian, Director of BUPS/BIS, at an international conference in The Hague.
