Bilkent Guitarists Receive International Recognition Amongst the founders of the association, Terci and Korad performed a repertoire of pieces by famous Turkish composers, such as Nejat Başeğmezler, Ahmet Adnan Saygun and Muammer Sun. On the second day of the congress, the duo presented a selection entitled “Classical Guitar Education at Bilkent University and in Turkey.” Their overall performance was warmly received and praised by the local press. Terci and Korad offered to organize the second congress in Turkey in 2003 and they expressed confidence in their chances. The Association aims at strengthening the communication between cultures, enable cooperation over large projects and promote opportunities for young and successful guitarists to perform. Terci and Korad have performed as members of the Bilkent Guitar Trio since 2000.
