TMMOB (Turkish Union of Chambers of Architecture and Engineering), ended on 8 April 2002.
Among the forty five candidates who entered the competition from all over Turkey, four teams from Bilkent's Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design won the first three places in addition to one “Jury Special Award”. Third year students Mustafa Demiralp and Pınar Yıldırım won first place, while Çiğdem Özkal, Eda Ersoy and Direnç Karaaslan (4th year students) placed second; Ali Kemal Arkun and Zafer Parlak (3rd year students) placed second and third respectively. Meanwhile, the project by 4th year students Kamer Özaydan, Tolga Buzcu, Herbil Gürsel, Bilkay Cavcav and Altay Uğurlu was awarded the “Jury Special Award”.
The winners received their awards on 16 April 2002, Tuesday, at the opening ceremony of the Landscape Architecture Fair "Peyzaj 2002" held in Altınpark.
