Students Prepare and Present Delicious Lunches

If you have never gone to the Practice Restaurant for lunch, you have missed out on a very special experience. However, it is not too late to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, friendly service, and elegant presentations that the restaurant has to offer, because it has once again opened its doors to serve the Bilkent community.
The students of the Tourism and Hotel Services, and Tourism and Hotel Management, who are taking the "Internetional Cuisine-Food Production" course, prepare and serve delicious meals under the supervision of their instructors, Henk Kuchlein and Frederick Smith. Each menu offers an appetizer, main course and dessert from a particular international cuisine.
The restaurant is located on East Campus in the STHM building. It is open Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The set menu is 4.000.000 TL., not including the beverages. Reservations are recommended, as seating is limited. Call ext. 5003 (Ms. Ayşe A. Dülgeroğlu) to make a reservation. The staff and students of the Practice Restaurant look forward to serving you.


The menu for this week is listed below:
Tuna Fish Cocktail
(A tuna fish cocktail served on a green leaf)
Lentil Soup
(A light lentil and chicken soup served with croutons)
or
Fresh spinach and mushroom oriental salad
(Fresh spinach leaves served with sauteed mushrooms and grapefruit segments and tossed in a soya ginger dressing)
or
Mixed vegetable Soup

(Traditional mixed vegetables cooked in a light broth)
Poached fillet of Salmon
(Poached fillet of salmon accompanied by a Tarragon butter sauce)
or
Beef "Bourguignonne" with noodles
(Beef braised in a red wine sauce)
or
Chicken breast with a mushroom sauce
(Sauteed chicken breast served with a light mushroom sauce)
Stuffed tomatoes
Braised fennel
Rice Pilaf
Steamed potatoes
Floating Island
(A delicate custard sauce topped with a poached meringue)
or
Chocolate cream puffs

(Cream puffs filled with cream and served with a chocolate sauce)
