All students will be receiving their Smart Cards by October 15 from their departments. In addition to its use as an ID card, the smart card will have many applications around the campus. Smart Cards can be used for entrance to the sports facilities, dormitories, and parking lots, checking out library books, and making bank transactions.
The smart card contains an integrated circuit having the capabilities to store certain information, and add or change information as the needs arise. The most common use for the Smart Card will eventually be that capability once negotiations with a bank have been finalized.
