Drivers issued a new sticker will also be given a copy of Bilkent University Traffic Regulations. This booklet comprises rules and regulations to be followed on campus, together with the details of the Violation Points System which has been put into effect as of this academic year. According to this system, failing to stop at pedestrian crossings, speeding or driving dangerously, for example, results in the reception of high violation points. Stickers pertaining to drivers who reach 15 points within one academic year are suspended and the driver is banned from driving on campus.
It is throughly recommended that drivers go through these rules and regulations. Details of the violation points system are also available at the Traffic Committee website at www.traffic.bilkent.edu.tr.
We wish all members of Bilkent community a successful academic year and safety on the roads.
