Sir Peter Ustinov and Maestro Rickenbacher at Bilkent

   The Autumn season of the Bilkent Concert Hall is starting on Saturday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 23 in an extraordinary way!
   Sir Peter Ustinov and the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Karl Anton Rickenbacher, will be performing Beethoven’s “The Creatures of Prometheus”, on Saturday, October 20, at 8 p.m. Written between the first and second symphonies, it is a key work in the understanding of Beethoven's oeuvre. Sir Peter Ustinov will be presenting his own personal plot to this music and along with Maestro Karl Anton Rickenbacher, are gauranteed to present the Bilkent Symphony audience with a unique evening of dramatic classical music.
   The second concert on Tuesday, October 23, 8 p.m., will be featuring Beethovens “5th Symphony” along with “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Mussorgky.
   Sir Peter Ustinov is known as a playwright, actor, author, designer, director, film star and entertainer par excellence to his world-wide audience. He is also Sir Peter Ustinov Kt., CBE, is the Chancellor of Durham University and an Ambassador to UNICEF.
   Quoted by the great composer Olivier Messiaen to be “A great conductor of our time, who discerns precisely the relevant aesthetics of each work”, Karl Anton Rickenbacher, one of the most prominent figures of today’s European classical music scene, will be conducting the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra on October 20 and the 23.
