Sinan Karacadağ, the son of Professor Orhan Karacadağ and Ülker Karacadağ, was a freshman at the Faculty of Business Administration when he passed away at the age of nineteen in a tragic traffic accident on November 21, 1999.
   Through the funds donated by his family, Bilkent University established the “Sinan Karacadağ Scholarship Fund” in June 2000 in his lasting memory.
   The scholarship is in the form of a full/partial semester tuition waiver. Management students who maintain a minimum of 3.00/4.00 CGPA and do not receive other financial aid are eligible and encouraged to apply. The scholarships are awarded by the Faculty Board based on the applicants’ academic record and an interview.
   For Fall 2001-2002 three students, Burçin Çöl, Okan Özel and Müge Akkor have received Sinan Karacadağ Scholarships. All three are studying in the Department of Management, and Burçin and Müge are sophomores and Okan is a junior in the department.
