AIESEC Arrives on Campus

The world’s largest student organization, AIESEC, is a global network of 50,000 members across more than 83 countries and territories at more than 800 universities worldwide. AIESEC facilitates the international exchange of thousands of students and recent graduates each year.
By becoming an AIESEC trainee, you not only gain entrance into a new world of opportunities, you also develop your practical business skills and experience, learn about other cultures and people, and challenge yourself with living and working abroad. AIESEC provides three different types of exchange experiences for various departments. For those interested in business management positions, technical positions or development sector work, there are traineeships that last from 8 weeks to 18 months.
The Review Process of AIESEC applications goes through the Review Boards where applicants are screened for suitability for AIESEC’s Exchange Program. Review Boards usually consist of academic representatives, members of the local business community, and AIESEC members. Once you pass the Review Board, your application will then be entered into the global matching system where traineeship and student applications are matched. Your local AIESEC representative will provide instructions for you regarding this process. Depending on your preferences, the matching process may take anywhere up to 6 months. Applicants who have more flexible preferences for where they would like to work and what type of position, are more likely to be matched sooner with a suitable traineeship. You will be required to pay an application fee to AIESEC to participate in the Exchange Program.
For an application form, stop by the AIESEC desks located at the FEASS Building, Banking and Finance Building, B-Building and Engineering Building. If your application is accepted, you will be required to complete the review process. The deadline is November 10, 2001 and the first level of the language proficiency test is on November 11, 2001. For more information, contact AIESEC at
213-9425 or go to www.aiesec.org.tr.
