Sinema Topluluğu (Cinema Club), as its name would suggest, is an organization dedicated to the cinema. The goal is to create an atmosphere where people think, discuss and share their ideas about cinema.
   By watching various films and even producing short movies during the year, Sinema Topluluğu looks at the art of cinema from diverse perspectives. With these goals in mind, the group reserves Mondays for classic movies and Tuesdays for popular films. The “Short films workshop” represents another important aspect of the Cinema Club. Sinema Topluluğu is open to all people who would like to become involved in the production of a film project. In these workshops, the basics of film production are discussed and put into practice. Workshops are generally held on Saturdays.
   In addition to these activities, Sinema Topluluğu invites experienced filmmakers to speak; their first guest will be Serdar Akar, director of the films “Gemide”, “Dar Alanda Kısa Paslaşmalar” and “Maruf” (November, 15, 3 p.m. at FADA, FFB-05).
