Oil Painting Courses Now Offered on Campus

Painting is not only the kind of art which allows an individual to express feelings and ideas; it can also stand as a reflection of life itself. By the time you graduated from elementary school, you had probably decided - or been told - whether or not you had any artistic ability. But did you know that oil painting courses are now being offered at Main Campus, Dorm 77? It’s for all students and staff who are interested in studying oil painting techniques.
The course is given by the renowned painter Nihat Tandoğan. You don’t need to be a painter to enjoy yourself there. If you are only interested in art or wish to know something about oil-painting, this is a great place to discover your creativity and learn about a fascinating subject with a professional artist. “Our basic aim is to promote art, while bringing out the creativity and painting abilities of students”, says Nihat Tandoğan.
The oil painting course will run for 10 weeks at Dorm 77, second floor, from
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. every Saturday. For further information and to apply call ext. 1420 or 2371. You can also e-mail odekan@bilkent.edu.tr.
