Bilkent Havacılık Kulübü (BİLHAVK) was officially established in November 1991. Since 1991, BİLHAVK has held and instructed many courses in paragliding and hang-gliding.
  Paragliding emerged in the 1980’s in Europe and was embraced by many for its exciting challenges. There are no planes involved or hard landings in paragliding; you just run downward along a smooth slope while you are harnessed to the paraglider, and then, you’re airborne!
  After the delightful experience of gliding along thermal currents, you land (smoothly) with the assistance of an experienced instructor, Fevzi Ak, who is certified by the FAI (International Air Sports Federation). Flights and courses will take place in the hills around Ankara, and later, for more advanced students, in Ölüdeniz, Kaş, and Abant.
