A Day for 0’s and 1’s...

The 7th Annual Nationwide Programming Contest and Fair, SoftwareQuest 2002, was held on November 5, at the Main Campus Sports Hall. The all-day event began with a display of software projects from 60 university students from all over Turkey. 30 subject & platform projects in various categories were judged by the Academic-Industry Jury during the event.
SoftwareQuest continued with a Seminar by Ericsson entitled “Mobility in Our Lives” and then with a TriviaQuiz and Award Ceremony.
The top three awards of the Software Quest 2002 went to Bilkent Computer Engineering Department students; the project members are as follows:
1st Place: “İstila Strateji Oyunu”, Project by Ozan Gümüş
2nd Place: “ORS WEB / WAP (Online Registration System)”, Project Members: Kutsal Kaan Bilgin, Cihan Deniz, Mustafa Eriç, Mert Ece
3rd Place: “Fellowship Of The Rivals”, Project Members: İzzet Çağrı Baykan, Abdülkadir Tokgöz, Ercan Uçan, Ziya Özkan Göktürk, Emre Çakır
A total amount of $15.000 in prize money went to the winners. SoftwareQuest 2002 is organized by the Bilkent University Computer Club with the aid of Bilkent's CS Department and Bilkent ACM SIGART.
