A course providing instruction in the principles of Ayurveda will be offered at Bilkent by Ayurveda expert Seda Shambhavi.
Ayurveda, meaning “science of life,” is a holistic health system with roots in the Vedic culture of India. It focuses on ensuring and sustaining physical and emotional balance.
The first and foremost aim of Ayurveda is to identify the ideal body type (dosha) for an individual and detect the origin of any symptoms that might indicate an imbalance so that balance can be reestablished through appropriate means.
The course will include both theoretical and practical information, such as cooking and the use of spices based on Ayurvedic principles. It consists of 6 modules, totaling 150 hours, to take place on weekends beginning Saturday, December 2.
