The Career Center has arranged for two major corporations – Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) and Microsoft – to hold seminars on campus where industry- and career-related topics will be discussed. The seminars will take place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

On Wednesday, October 17, Elif Tutum Tuncer, the head of human resources at Signify, will make a presentation in C-Block Auditorium at 12:30 p.m. The presentation will offer insights into the process of conducting a detailed, action-oriented job search as well as tips for making a good impression in an interview. Ms. Tuncer will also hold a contest during her presentation, the winner of which will receive the opportunity to meet with her for two mentoring sessions.

The Microsoft seminar will take place on Thursday, October 18 at 12:30 p.m. in the EE-01 Conference Hall, and will highlight the artificial intelligence solutions developed by Microsoft for different sectors. In this seminar, participants will learn about Microsoft’s approach to AI, and also how AI has transformed sectors and jobs and will continue to do so.
