On March 9, a meeting of the International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals (SKAL) Ankara branch took place at Le Piment Rouge, the practice restaurant of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management.
The meeting brought together SKAL members from the Ankara area, including a number of executives and managers active in the tourism industry. Among those in attendance were Bilkent University School of Applied Technology and Management Director Kamer Rodoplu, SKAL Ankara President Hasan Bozkurt, and other board members of the organization, Fuga Group Tourism and Trade owner and President Sadık Altıparmak, Executive Board of Ankara Hoteliers Association Chairman Savaş Çolakoğlu, Holiday Inn Çukurambar General Manager Sinan Mısırlı and Radisson Blu Hotel Ankara General Manager Atilla Aytun.
For the occasion, a four-course menu was prepared and served by the students of the department under the supervision of the restaurant’s chef, Elif Denizci, and service instructor Ali Ünal. At the meeting, Medical Tourism Association Chairman Sinan İbiş gave a presentation on the potential of health, medical and third-age tourism in Turkey.
