Bilkent Students Host Guided Tours

As in previous summers, Bilkent students from various departments guided high school graduates around campus to explore and learn more about Bilkent University between July 14 - August 8. The visitors both enjoyed individual and group tours led by Bilkent students and were able to receive more in depth information from both faculty members and currently enrolled students.
During the summer tours, the guides had an enjoyable time and a chance to experience what it was like to be a professional guide. “I’ve been working as part of the Bilkent guiding family for three years now and I must say that it has been a pleasure. Now as a senior, I realize more and more how important is the information that we give our visitors. I was one of the first student guides of the summer tours and I believe that not only the high school graduates and their families but also “we”, the student guides, receive numerous benefits from the program. The best part of the tours is that we get a chance to make new friends.” says Özfer Baþkaya (MAN/IV), one of the student tour guides.
We would like to thank all the student guides for the important role they play in the Bilkent Community.
