Prof. Abdullah Atalar, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, has been appointed a member of the Science Board of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey) which was established in 1963 to develop, encourage, organize and coordinate research and development activities in the fields of basic and applied sciences.
Prof. Atalar received his B.S. degree from Middle East Technical University in 1974, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University in 1976 and 1978 respectively, all in Electrical Engineering.
His current research interests include Analog and Digital Integrated Circuit Design, Simulation of Large Circuits, Micromachined Sensors and Atomic Force Microscopy.
