TDP Helps University Personnel

The TDP-Community Volunteers Group (Toplum Gönüllüleri Grubu) has been working on the “Support for University Personnel Project” since October 18, 2003. The project aims to support Bilkent University personnel’s children who study at the 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels. Every weekend, volunteers hold social activities including musical performances, movies and interpretations, reading interpretations, and drawing competitions. 56 students have currently benefited from this project.
As a part of this project, 40 students and 11 community volunteers visited Atatürk’s Mausoleum. After passing the famous Lions' Road, students and volunteers visited the museum
accompanied by a guide, and then watched the exchange of the soldiers under the huge Turkish flag. The students enjoyed the visit very much. One of the 8th grade students said: “I realized that we are so valuable and lucky because Mehmetçiks sacrificed their own lives for us.” To get more information about the project, you can visit http://tog.bilkent.edu.tr
