Letter to the Editor

Dear Bilkent News
Many students smoke in places they are not supposed to, such as bathrooms and next to the pharmacy.
I don't like this, because I don't want to consume their smoke. But, at the same time, it truly isn't fair that Bilkent faculty and staff can smoke in their offices (or their colleagues' offices), but students must go outside to smoke, even in bad weather.
I suggest one of two things: 1) buildings have a room or rooms that are designated smoking areas for students; or 2) smoking is not allowed at all in buildings, including offices.
Sincerely,

Erin Maloney, Instructor
School of Applied Languages
