The Completion of Another Successful TDP Project

The latest project of the TDP has finally been completed after a lot of hard work and self-sacrifice by the volunteers. The Railway Lines Support Project (Demiryolu Hattı Destek Projesi) took place in the Polatlı Karahamzalı village for three days beginning on April 23. There were almost 30 participants and some of them spent the night in the train during the project, while the rest of the volunteers were traveling back and forth everyday, all the way from Bilkent to Polatlı. It was as tiring as it sounds but everyone believed that it was totally worth the hardships.
350 children of the Karahamzalı Primary School have all experienced a children's fest so filled with happiness and joy, that they will probably remember it the rest of their lives. The joy spread to every area of the festival. The children watched cartoons, created paintings, also some masks and ceramics out of clay, they attended drama classes and wizard shows in which some scientific experiments were demonstrated in an interesting and extraordinary way.
Furthermore, Bilkenters helped to reconstruct some areas of the school. The walls were painted, all the desks were emeried and polished. A new library has been built and a large amount of books were donated as well. As a member of the TDP family, it is never enough to merely thank Prof. Talat Halman, the Unilever company and T.C.D.D. who made it all possible to execute this project.
