Communications Student's Program Aired on CNN International

Miray Akdağ, a senior student in the Communication and Design Department, has prepared a project on recent issues in Cyprus for CNN International's World Report Program. The program aired on CNN International, April 23 and 24. The project aired as the opening segment of "World Report", a program that gives broadcasters from all over the world a global forum.
The editing, voice over, and research were all done by Miray Akdağ, who has been accepted into the Internship program of CNN International, Atlanta, where the channel's headquarters are located. Miray received a one-year break from her studies for the 2003-2004 academic year to complete the internship program at CNN's World Report program, and will continue her studies at Bilkent next Fall. “I was very excited when my project was aired, but am now preparing more projects for the following days.” said Miray. After several months of interning at the World Report program, Miray is now an intern for the International Desk, widely regarded as the busiest department at CNN.
We wish Miray every success in her future broadcasting endeavors.
