set out earlier than usual. At the moment, the weather is fine and the flow of traffic is at least close to normal. Don't forget that even a drop of rain will cause traffic to slow down, so be prepared for those winter mornings! You may have noticed the severe hold-ups especially at the detour leading off the Eskişehir highway when approaching the Bilkent bridge from the direction of Çayyolu. A vast amount of traffic is forced into a narrow road, and getting on to the main road leading off the bridge to Bilkent is quite a problem.
We would like to remind you that you may also use the road leading up past the military compound. So, if you find it hard to turn off at the detour onto the main road to Bilkent, continue straight ahead. Those going to East Campus, can branch off where it says Real. Those going to Main Campus may continue up the hill (beware of potholes) and branch off to Main campus at the Knauf entrance. This road is not maintained as well as the Bilkent main road, so please reduce your speed and drive carefully.
However, it saves you from waiting in long lines to turn off opposite the Ministry of the Environment. Drive slowly, drive safely.
