Everything that has a beginning has an end. Sounds about right, doesn’t it? Well, that is exactly what the oracle said. As we all know, the cult series of the Wachowski Brothers (Andy and Larry Wachowski) has come to an end. “The Matrix Revolutions” was something that all Matrix fans have been waiting for, for about seven months, since the debut of “Matrix Reloaded”, which was the second movie of the series.
The Matrix Trilogy, not only brought much innovation to the area of cinema technology with its perfect action scenes, but also inspired the viewing audience with its fascinating scenarios. Honestly, seven months turned out to be more than a year for impatient matrix fans like myself. It is clear that in each movie we felt like there was something missing, and actually there was. This was mainly due to the abilities of the Wachowski Brothers in successfully creating curiosity at the end of the first two films. Let’s go back in time and look at this amazing trilogy. In the first one of the series, the Matrix, we were like: “…but what is real and what is a dream?” It would be fair to say that the audience were acting as if they were stuck in the Matrix System itself. Moreover, in “The Matrix Reloaded”, what made us doubtful about many things in the scenario, was mostly because of the key speech of the architect. After watching the second film, everybody made unique comments and people were unsure about the end of the movie. I am sure those of you who have seen the last movie, were expecting that the trilogy would end in an unexpected way, since conjectures about the final movie in the trilogy were so far off the mark. However, in my opinion, it ended in a realistic manner. When you look at the movie with a broader overall view, it becomes obvious that each question mark in your mind is answered in The Matrix Revolutions. Nevertheless, what is questioned and argued most, was the religious approach of the movie. Finally; it becomes quite obvious in the last movie that each of the most important characters (Neo, Trinity and Morpheus) is representing one special religious character from the Bible.
Moreover at the end of the movie, you will definitely say: “How long will this situation last?” Although the Wachowski Brothers officially explained that the series has ended, you will be left expecting another one. I could continue saying more and more about this cult series as it evokes something different with each passing minute. However, if you want to understand what I am talking about, then you should go and see the film! Believe it or not, it is worth it. Matrix Revolutions is currently playing at all movie theaters in Ankara.
