On Saturday
and Sunday, December 11-12, Şişli Municipality and Local Agenda 21 organized a panel
discussion, "European Union Youth Debate Turkey's Entrance to the European
Union," at the İstanbul Dedeman Hotel. Student Council President Ali Erdinç Savcı,
General Secretary Şeref Can Arat and Coordinator Asuman Erbay, and TDP's General
Coordinator Burak Yılmaz and Çağlar Kurç represented Bilkent University at the event.
Çağlar Kurç served as a member of the panel, which discussed the role of local
governments as well as the viewpoint of Turkish citizens who belong to different
religions. Following the discussion, the Bilkent representatives agreed to bring future
projects organized by Local Agenda 21 to Bilkent with the support of the Student Council.
