Kulüp
Anadolu, one of the newest student clubs at Bilkent, contributes to intellectual life
on our campus. Specifically, it is devoted to the preservation of Anatolian cultural
values. To this end, Kulüp Anadolu organized concerts, exhibitions, symposiums,
trips and personal development seminars last semester. This semester will also be a busy
period for club members. Planned activities include helping to organize Bilkent Career
Days, panels and seminars, Anatolian handicraft and marbling exhibitions and the Bilkent Fidan
Şenliği. “Our organization is composed of members from various departments of the
university, and we welcome everyone to contribute to our work. We are aware that great
accomplishments are the products of teamwork, so we invite you to be a part of our team,”
said Sami Hotak, Kulüp Anadolu Coordinator. For more information, you can email anadolu@ug.bilkent.edu.tr
Spring is coming, and along with it, lots of opportunities. You might prefer to make this
spring unforgettable by taking photographs. Fotoğrafçılık Külübü welcomes
new participants, and offers educational programs for aspiring photographers. There are
two series of sessions, one at 5:45 p.m. on Mondays,
which started February 21, and one on Wednesdays, which
started February 16. Those interested in attending can choose whichever
evening is more convenient for them. The club also arranges photography tours. Earlier
this month, a tour to Kızılcahamam, Eğerlibaş, and Galata Kalesi gave participants the
opportunity to see and photograph a different face of Ankara. The photographs taken by
club members during the tour will be exhibited in March. One of the photos is previewed
here for Bilkent News readers.
