“Incommunicado” Welcomes Art Enthusiasts

The third "Incommunicado" art exhibition opened last week in the FADA Art Gallery, offering art enthusiasts the opportunity to view different styles of paintings, photographs and drawings. The exhibition features works by students in the Bilkent University Communication and Design and Architecture Departments as well as by artists from other universities, including Hacettepe and Gazi.
In addition to providing artists with an opportunity to display their work, "Incommunicado" also gives students in the Curatorial Studies class a chance to practice what they have learned over two semesters about designing and installing an exhibit. According to Curatorial Studies instructor Çağla Saraç, "The exhibition, which is open to everyone, presents works that will suit different tastes. My students and I want to make this event an annual one that will attract people who are interested in art. For me, a work of art is beautiful only when it is shared." Photography instructor Işık Aksoy encourages students from other faculties to participate in this event as viewers and become a part of the effort to make this an annual exhibition.
"Incommunicado" will be on display in the FADA Art Gallery until May 9.
