The ABET team consisted
of Prof. Edwin Jones (Iowa State University), Prof. Karan Watson (Texas
A&M University) and Prof. Samuel White (Purdue/Indiana University). They
inspected the undergraduate program, including its curriculum,
facilities and student work. They interviewed Bilkent administrators,
faculty and students as well as some external advisory board members.
They visited classes and labs in session, the library and the bookstore.
The reviewers stated
that they were impressed with the Computer Engineering Department's
undergraduate program and the preparation students receive there for a
successful career. The ABET team's evaluation report did not mention a
single deficiency, weakness or concern, indicating that all areas of the
department's undergraduate program are meeting their high standards. The
accreditation process will be finalized in July 2006.
