Getting on the Dance Floor with “Nike Dance” and Taebo

This semester's Interval Training program is offering you a different type of experience. Probably you've heard about Nike Dance from billboards, newspapers and advertisements. The Nike Dance campaign tour is now in Turkey and will be at Bilkent on Tuesday, March 7. The Interval Training program, organized by the Physical Education and Sports Center, will feature a special workout that night combining Nike Dance and taebo.

"Take sport. Add music." That's Nike's take on dance. Nike Dance is a high-energy workout done to hip-hop and upbeat dance music. Celebrity choreographer Jamie King has created a range of cutting edge moves especially for Nike. King has worked with stars like Madonna, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin. His moves will be taught to you by Candas Bas, Nike's dancer in Turkey, and Bilkent fitness instructors.

Aerobics/step instructor Filiz Gür says, "Everybody can participate in the program, whatever their physical level is. It's easy, and the choreography will be taught step by step. Nike Dance night offers you a workout to get the heart pumping, the body moving and the mind invigorated. In the words of Jamie King: 'It's all about making you healthy. Expressing yourself. Freeing yourself. Finding yourself.'"

All participants will receive a Nike sports bag with promotional gifts inside.
