Hürriyet newspaper columnist Bekir Çoşkun
came to Bilkent University last week to speak to COMD students. The well-known
journalist met with his future colleagues in an atmosphere of great
cordiality, and answered their questions on a variety of topics, from
politics to the media to his own career.
Regarding the media,
Çoşkun talked about the current trend of luring people to watch so-called
reality shows that actually divert them from the real problems in Turkey.
He accused the media of “betrayal." However, he added that he was
hopeful about the younger generation, and happy to have had the
opportunity to meet with the Bilkent COMD students.
