 BÜÇEK
(Bilkent University Environment Club) was established in 2005 to bring
together people interested in preserving and improving the environment.
This term, BÜÇEK members
have been busy organizing a photo contest to highlight the natural
beauty at Bilkent University. The contest will conclude on March 25--until
then, anyone who has shot natural scenes on the Bilkent Campus with
either a digital or non-digital camera can submit three color or black-and-white
photos of standard size (15 cm to 21 cm) at the stands that will be open
on campus during the last two days of the competition.
Another club project has
to do with establishing a recreation area beside the lake between the
East and Main Campuses. The focus is on planting trees in the area so
that students can have a space of their own where they can picnic or
relax in their free time.
