On
Monday, March 6, Ali İhsan Akıskalıoğlu, Batubay Özkan, İkbal Dürre, Cem
Tezelman and Mehmet Kaynarcan from the Russian - Turkish Businessmen's
League shared their knowledge about job opportunities in Russia with
students who filled Room FBB-22 in the FADA Building. The program,
"Rusya'daki İş İmkanları," was part of the CDPC's "Career Days" program.
All the speakers
mentioned the importance of learning the Russian language in order to
establish successful business relations in Russia. They also pointed out
that Russia's natural resources and huge territory provide opportunities
for Turkish investors. Mr. Özkan emphasized the significance of
specializing in a certain field. Mr. Kaynarcan told the students that
with a strong background, there's no reason not to be successful in
Russia. Mr. Akıskalıoğlu, who wrapped up the first hour of the program,
advised students not to wait to be discovered by employers but rather to
use their initiative and entrepreneurial skills.
The second hour was
devoted to a question and answer session. There was a high rate of
participation by the students, who seemed eager to learn about job
opportunities in Russia and the potential to play a prominent role in
business there in the future.
