 Bilkent's first tavla (backgammon) tournament has just taken place.
Organized for students living in the dormitories, the competition began
on March 23 with 50 Bilkenters, both students and administrative staff,
participating. The tournament ended on April 5. The top three finishers
were:
1. Burak Kesen, from Dormitory 71
2. İnanç Polat, from Dormitory 70
3. Osman Küçüksönmez, from Dormitory 72
Similar tournaments will be held for ping-pong and billiards players. In
addition, every Monday night, alternating on the East and Main Campuses,
a film will be shown. The upcoming film is "Gladiator," which is
scheduled for:
Monday, April 10
at 7:30 p.m. in Dormitory 69, and
Monday, April 17
at 7:30 p.m. in
Dormitory 90.
