 Liam
Browne, a drama teacher at BUPS/BIS from 1998 to 2005, passed away on September 26, 2005,
following a post-operative heart attack. A native of Australia, Liam had left Bilkent at
the end of the 2004-5 school year to accept a position in Switzerland.
During his time at BUPS/BIS, Liam's name became synonymous with drama there. He put on a
variety of productions over the years, and a number of his students went on to study drama
at the university level.
Bilkent School students, parents and staff mourn the loss of this beloved teacher. A
commemorative service will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 3 p.m. at
the Bilkent Hotel. All those wishing to pay their respects are invited to attend.
