English Language Debating Club

Bilkent has a new debating club just for students. Anyone who is interested in politics, sports, or world affairs, and anyone who likes to argue issues or simply wants to improve their English is welcome to join the English Language Debating Club.

Debating is a team sport. At club meetings you will learn the rules and the skills you will need to play the game properly, and then you and your team will start to debate.

At the end of the academic year, the two best teams will take part in a "Grand Final" debate to decide who is the year's champion team.

So, if you have strong opinions and you want the chance to voice them, come and join us. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, October 12 in Room G-140 at 6.30 p.m.

For more information, contact John Clarkson at engdebate@bilkent.edu.tr or, johnc@bilkent.edu.tr
