In the
seminar, Prof. Bhattacharya explained some special features and
phenomena of the Indian economy, for instance the coexistence of the
country's not very developed but very important agriculture sector with
its high-technology industry.
He gave
some additional background on India's history, political regime and
culture.
Prof.
Bhattacharya also mentioned his very favorable impression of Turkey and
of Bilkent University, which, he said, provides very good facilities for
its students.
