Ice Skate into Spring

Are you ready for a fun and fascinating sports activity? The Physical Education and Sports Center is offering ice-skating classes for all Bilkent community members who would like to enjoy this combination of sport and art on ice. Courses will be conducted on a regular basis, allowing beginners to learn the basics of ice-skating.
Dr. Levent Tunalı, from the East Campus Health Center, will be teaching the course, which will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6:15 and 7 p.m. at the BELPA skating rink in Bahçelievler.

The program teaches movements like forward / backward skating, crossovers and spins. In addition, couples who want to learn how to skate, as a pair will be taught special moves. Ice-skating is an enjoyable and relaxing form of exercise. Most people are able to skate quite well after only a few lessons, and some can perform moves like the spin by the time they complete this course.

All the equipment necessary will be provided at the Center. If you want to try this very enjoyable sport, where you can glide over the ice to the accompaniment of music, this is your opportunity. You should register for the program as soon as possible, since space is limited.
