It is very interesting that people wander around without actually seeing things. In this
column I will be examining how this happens in our daily lives as well as around campus. I
will be questioning the possible reasons behind these things. I must warn you though: this
writing does not aim to offend people and it might involve some sarcasm.
The first thing that I would like to draw your attention to is the magazines in Coffee
Break. If you have noticed, they put some magazines out for customers to enjoy. However,
did you notice that the National Geographic's magazine "series" that Coffee
Break has out dates back to 1988? Although it is really interesting to see an old
magazine, I cannot help but ask why they might put out "vintage" magazines. I
assume they thought it might go well with the decoration including the baby seal and
orange paint. Or, maybe such old issues are on display to show that Coffee Break is a very
old institution. Nevertheless, I believe that it is a rather enjoyable activity to read a
"classic" while you are sitting with your friends and drinking your delicious
coffee.
