 Ömer Türkmenoğlu, a Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Music and Performing
Arts, was recently invited to Pakistan by the Turkish Ambassador in Pakistan, Kemal Gür
to perform for the President of Pakistan, Pervez Müşerref.
The concerts took place between September 6th and 10th, and showcased music from different
regions of Turkey, as well as arias from around the world. Türkmenoğlu has performed for
many state officials in the past and was warmly received by the Pakistani press.
