The Turkish Society is organizing
a poetry competition that is open to all Bilkent students. Participants are allowed to
submit only one poem. Poems that have been previously submitted to other competitions are
not eligible. Submissions should not exceed 100 lines of poetry and should be in Turkish.
The first round of competition will be judged by a committee of Turkish Society members
who will select a number of poems to present to the final jury composed of Dr. Talat
Halman, Hilmi Yavuz and Ahmet Özer. The results will be announced on May 14.
Prizes will be awarded and are books valued at 200 YTL, 125 YTL and 75 YTL from İmge
