In the exhibition hall of the Main Campus Library, an exhibit of Billur Cankut-Varlı's
work opened at the beginning of May. The exhibit is open everyday between 10:30
a.m. and 6 p.m. until May 23. Billur
Cankut-Varlı worked with Nevide Gökaydın, one of Turkey's most acclaimed art teachers.
Most of Cankut-Varlı's work is in the form of collages, and the relationship between
colors and shapes in her work is natural. She uses a wide range of themes including still
lifes, clowns, portraits, aquariums and any other aspect of our daily lives. She uses
different tones of blue, as a soothing medium as well as a reflection of the purity of
water. For those who are interested, the exhibition is open until May 23.
